Virginia L. Carron

Partner

Virginia Carron practices patent and trademark litigation, counseling, and prosecution. Her litigation experience includes numerous district court trials, as well as trials before the U.S. International Trade Commission and appeals to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. She counsels client on intellectual property licensing and related transactional matters in both trademarks and patents for several Fortune 500 companies.

Ms. Carron’s client base is broad, including computer software and hardware companies, members of the telecommunications industry, the world’s largest manufacturer of hand-made cigars, a large international chemical and minerals corporation, and numerous international clients in various technology fields.

Highlights

  • Served as first chair in many litigations representing the Fuente cigar companies in cases involving trademark, trade dress, unfair competition, and false advertising issues.
  • In a patent litigation involving a method for producing expanded graphite, served as first chair in representing client Timcal S.A.
  • First chair for several different plaintiffs in counterfeiting and trademark infringement litigation which resulted in the recovery and destruction of millions of dollars worth of counterfeit goods and in two cases, one in the Central District of California and one in the District of New Hampshire, ultimately resulted in the incarceration of counterfeiters of computer memory products.
