Patent Reform Inches Closer to Reality

This article discusses the Patent Reform Act of 2011, which passed the full Senate in March 2011 and was introduced and approved by the House Judiciary Committee in April 2011.  A number of provisions in the Senate and House bills are examined including one that would move the U.S. from a first-to-invent application system to a first-to-file system, post-grant review, allowance of third-party submission of prior art, and revisions of the willful infringement standard.  Rebecca M.
