NAFE and Flex-Time Lawyers Salute Finnegan as a 2011 Best Law Firm for Women

WASHINGTON, DC - The National Association for Female Executives (NAFE) and Flex-Time Lawyers today announced Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, LLP as a NAFE and Flex-Time Lawyers Best Law Firm for Women for its commitment to supporting female lawyers with work-life balance and women-friendly policies, and retaining and promoting top female legal talent.

Finnegan is one of the top ranked firms in the category of Leadership, Compensation & Advancement of Women for 2011. The firm is led by a female managing partner; more than half of the firm’s practice group leaders are women, most of whom have children at home; and the firm’s nine-member management committee includes three women. Finnegan’s managing partner Barbara McCurdy stated, “Finnegan’s success is directly related to the legal skills and experience of our lawyers. A significant number of Finnegan’s lawyers are working mothers, and they make valuable contributions to firm management, profitability, client satisfaction, and Finnegan’s culture.”

The 2011 Best Law Firms for Women survey was developed in a partnership between Working Mother Media and Flex-Time Lawyers LLC. Firms with at least 50 lawyers were eligible to apply and provide detailed questions about the issues that are most important to the retention and promotion of female lawyers. Fifty winning firms were selected based on their commitments, policies, and accomplishments related to workforce profile, family-friendly benefits and policies, flexibility, leadership, compensation, advancement and retention of women.
