Matthew J. Hlinka

Associate

Matthew Hlinka focuses on prosecution, patent portfolio management, and patent litigation in the chemical and pharmaceutical fields. His practice also includes inter partes review (IPR) before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

Prior to his legal career, Mr. Hlinka worked as an instrumentation engineer for Ambitech Engineering, where he provided on-site construction field support and helped design a new polysilicate production plant.

  • Served as judicial intern to the Honorable Joseph M. Hood for the U.S. District Court, E.D. Kentucky, 2013.
  • Served as production editor on the Kentucky Law Journal, 2014-2015; and staff editor, 2013-2014.
