Martin D. Hyden Joins Finnegan to Develop European Patent Practice
WASHINGTON, DC - Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, LLP, one of the world’s largest intellectual property law firms, announced today that Martin Hyden joined the firm on September 23, 2010. Mr. Hyden will practice European patent law from the firm’s Brussels office. He is a Chartered Patent Attorney and will be Finnegan’s first attorney to practice European patent law.

Mr. Hyden is a qualified UK and European patent attorney with over 25 years of experience in intellectual property law positions in private practice and corporations. Prior to joining Finnegan, he was head of UK Patents Practice for Rouse & Co. for the past seven years. Previously, he served as Patent Counsel and IP Department Manager for Schlumberger at various locations in the UK, US, Japan, and France between 1990 and 2003. His practice covers all areas of patent counseling and prosecution with substantial experience in EPO opposition and appeal procedures.
