Tom Jarvis focuses his practice on litigating intellectual property issues related to complex technology matters before the United States International Trade Commission (ITC). He has litigated over 50 ITC Section 337 cases over the past 25 years, logging more than 100 trial days as lead trial counsel in ITC cases, and conducting extensive discovery and motions practice, both domestically and abroad.
ITC cases Mr. Jarvis has handled involve the full range of computer technology, including electronic design automation tools, system architectures, microprocessors, digital signal processors, parallel processing technology, memory devices (DRAMs, SRAMs, and EPROMs), subsystem controllers, networking equipment, semiconductor fabrication processes, semiconductor packaging, and various operating system and application software. He has also participated in cases involving such diverse technologies as alkaline batteries, disposable diapers, cellular telephones, industrial equipment, medical devices, consumer electronics, and a wide variety of consumer products.
Mr. Jarvis has extensive experience with ITC cases involving parties and products from Asia. He frequently teaches ITC training seminars in the U.S. and Asia.
