Douglas W. Meier
Associate
Douglas Meier focuses his practice on patent litigation, with a particular emphasis on complex electrical and computer technologies in Section 337 proceedings before the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC). He has participated in various aspects of ITC hearings, including pre-hearing briefing, witness preparation and examination, and post-hearing briefing. Mr. Meier also has experience in all aspects of discovery, including fact and expert witness depositions.
In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Meier also prosecutes patent applications on a variety of electrical technologies.
While in law school, Mr. Meier gained significant patent experience as a summer associate at Finnegan. Before law school, Mr. Meier worked for a major defense contractor as an engineer, where he designed and developed software tools to support NASA’s Space Shuttle Program.
