Laura Robinson focuses her practice on patent litigation representing brand name pharmaceutical manufacturers in Hatch Waxman litigations. Prior to joining Finnegan, Ms. Robinson was an associate at a large Chicago-based firm for three years, and from 2007 to 2008, she served as a law clerk to the Honorable Judge Randall R. Rader, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

Ms. Robinson has a decade of experience in basic science and the pharmaceutical industry. From 1997 to 2002, she was an associate research scientist at Bristol Myers Squibb Pharmaceutical Research Institute in Wallingford, Connecticut, where she was responsible for the design and development of high throughput screening assays, and profiling assays used to identify various drug liabilities. Ms. Robinson received several awards for this research including an Excellence Award for the development of an ultra-miniaturized (1536 well) cytotoxicity assay. In addition to her work at Bristol, Ms. Robinson was involved in investigating the phenomena of multi-drug resistance at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Department of Molecular Pharmacology, New York, N.Y.
