The spotlight was on Finnegan in the July issue of The Partner, the monthly newsletter of the Arts Council Silicon Valley.  The firm was featured for its pro bono work with the Artsopolis Marketing Partnership to develop a comprehensive licensing and network membership package for Artsopolis.com, an online resource for arts and cultural information.  Leading the project is Finnegan partner Mike Elmer, along with attorneys Gary Edwards and Jennifer Draffen, and student associate and patent agent Venk Krishnamoorthy.  Based in the firm's Palo Alto, California office, the team has filed a patent application to protect the underlying Artsopolis.com software and business method, and several trademark applications to protect the product name and logo.  As noted in the article, "The Arts Council provides an opportunity for the lawyers to use their IP experience in a meaningful way that benefits the entire community."
