Ethics in IP Law: Where Do You Stand?
Finnegan-Hosted Event;
Speaking Engagement
November 30, 2007
Menlo Park, CA
While some ethical concepts are universally accepted, others are nuanced and often provoke differing interpretations. Aspects that weigh on one side of the scale for one person can weigh on the opposite side for another. In patent law, this is particularly true of the concept of inequitable conduct, a finding of which can render a patent unenforceable. Raising the stakes are the PTO's newly proposed ethical standards for IDS practice.
Please join panelists Tina Hulse, Tom Irving, Erik Puknys, and Yuko Soneoka, with moderator Jean Fordis, as they present in a point-counterpoint format where they stand on the issue of inequitable conduct and the proposed disclosure rules.
Finnegan Henderson confirms that this activity has been certified for 2 hours of ethics
MCLE credits.
