Eric J. Wendler

Associate

Eric Wendler focuses on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications involving wireless networking, data processing, content distribution and management, mobile devices, signal processing, and business methods.

Prior to joining Finnegan, Mr. Wendler served as a patent examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), where he examined patent applications in the field of static information storage and retrieval and assisted in the classification of new patent applications. Mr. Wendler gained experience with patent prosecution matters while working as a law clerk for IP boutique firms, and with Section 337 matters while interning at the U.S. International Trade Commission's Office of General Counsel.

While earning his undergraduate degree, Mr. Wendler was a member of an electrical engineering team that won second place in the senior design competition. The team designed a voice-controlled remote control system using IEEE 802.15.4 ZigBee protocol.
