Chemical Patent Practice Course

Thomas Irving, Mark Sweet, and Erik Puknys will teach an in-depth course for the chemical patent practitioner on preparing and prosecuting chemical patent applications, and how to assess, for litigation and opinion purposes, validity and infringement issues relating to U.S. patents. Students will be presented with a treatise on chemical patent law—written and maintained by the Finnegan faculty—that covers virtually every situation that can arise in the preparation and prosecution of a chemical patent application. The three-day program is sponsored by Patent Resources Group and will be held at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point in Bonita Springs, Florida.
