Qingyu also helps clients develop and manage important patent portfolios. His patent litigation experience provides guidance in strategizing the preparation and filings of patent applications in the U.S. and worldwide, as well as analyzing risks before a client launches a product on the U.S. market. Recognized by Intellectual Asset Management (IAM) for his practice in the D.C. region and by The Legal 500 U.S. for patent licensing and transactional work and for ITC patent litigation, he works with a wide range of technologies, including telecommunications, electronics, circuits, unmanned vehicles, personal transporters (hoverboards), semiconductors, materials science, optical communications, software, and information technology. He has served as main trial lawyer and has managed all aspects of the investigations. Notably, he represented HTC Corp. and affiliates against Apple in multiple ITC investigations involving LTE and imaging processing technologies.

Qingyu travels extensively to China to present on intellectual property topics and provide opinions, assessments, and evaluations on IP issues. Many years of experience in dispute resolution and IP asset management, combined with his native Chinese background, enable him to effectively and efficiently advise Chinese clients.
