Managing Intellectual Property Names Finnegan Full-Service IP Firm of the Year for 2011

WASHINGTON, DC - For the fourth consecutive year at its annual North American IP Awards Dinner, Managing Intellectual Property (MIP) recognized Finnegan with its top award—Full Service IP Firm of the Year.  In addition, the firm won five other awards: Life Sciences/Biotech Firm of the Year in the United States, Pharmaceutical IP Litigation Firm of the Year in the United States, Patent Prosecution Firm of the Year in the Northeast, Patent Contentious Firm of the Year in the Northeast, and U.S. Patent Case of the Year for the firm’s work on i4i v. Microsoft, 09-1504, (Fed. Cir. Dec. 22, 2009).

In addition, the firm was also a finalist in eight other practice categories spanning the patent, trademark, and ITC practices of the firm, and one category recognizing the firm’s strength in diversity.  The firm's strong showing in all of these categories contributed significantly to the firm winning the Full Service IP Firm of the Year award for the fourth time.

MIP is a leading international magazine for IP owners.  It has more than 8,000 subscribers, of which two-thirds are senior in-house counsel for multinational companies.  MIP conducts an annual World IP survey of 2,000 global practitioners (including in-house counsel and law firm attorneys) to identify and rank leading law firms in the IP field.  A list of all of the awards and winners can be found at http://www.managingip.com/.
