Mai-Trang Dang
Associate
Mai-Trang Dang practices patent litigation and prosecution in proceedings before U.S. district courts, the U.S. International Trade Commission, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Ms. Dang has experience in a variety of technologies, including medical devices, software, renewable energy, climate change, electronic devices, and technology risk management. Ms. Dang has also assisted with counseling clients and with clearance opinion work.
Highlights
- Worked as a law clerk for the Honorable Pauline Newman at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, 2007-2008.
- Represented a pro bono client in the Circuit Court of Fairfax County on a motion to declare the application of the death penalty unconstitutional in Virginia.
Professional Recognition
- Recipient of the 2007 Burton Award for Legal Achievement, a national award for legal writing, for her article, “IP Rights and DRM: The Copyright Holder’s Guide to Navigating DRM Technology through Hostile Territory.”
