ITC Rules in Favor of Finnegan Client SKC Kolon PI, Inc.

WASHINGTON, DC - On May 10, 2012, Judge Robert K. Rogers, Jr. of the U.S. International Trade Commission issued an initial determination that there is no violation by SKC Kolon PI, Inc. and SKC Inc. with respect to each of the four patents-in-suit in an action related to polyimide films and methods of manufacturing polyimide films. The ALJ found that two of the patents were invalid due to indefiniteness or lack of enablement, and that three of the patents were not infringed by any accused products. The ALJ also found that there is no industry existing in the United States that exploits any of the patents. SKC Kolon PI, Inc. and SKC Inc. were represented by Finnegan in this matter.
